currently @ the internet room in the camp.

reached here 2 sundays ago. nice place, considering it's in india. got fairly well facilities. bunk. shower facilities. cook house. and even a make shift canteen.

just ended the first frame of training troops. tmr gonna start round 2 and 3. sweeet..

hope and pray that every thing will go on fine, and also for all of u back home to be safe and great too! :D

Boyfriend beats up girl,15, allegedly rapes her repeatedly, but she does not report him at first.

"If I had listened to my father and not got into a relationship early so early, all this would not have happened."

If it's true love, such things won't happen. Love at a young age is suuuuperrr uuuupeerrr doooouuuuupeerrrrr sweet... :D but chances are, it wont end up good..

hh yes.. for us REGULAR NSF.. CNY is only a mere 3 days of hols.. from sat to tue.. haha.. friends and relatives were surprised that i have to book in on tues night... oh well.. that's life..!

anyways.. had a great time with my family during those 3 days.. oh ya.. 4 to be exact.. including eve.. we decided to have our reunion dinner at home.. small dinner.. 2 tables (with some remaining seats) of us only.. rest are either married or their other reunion dinners.. last time @ our old house.. i still can remember cny was a SUPER re nao family event.. 2tables, still.. but bigger ones and with all of us squeezing together.. trying to grab the lovely home-cooked food prepared by my ah ma.. those were the days..

but nonetheless.. thank God that we can still have meals together once in a while.. took some family photos.. :D love em!

ahh yes.. brought my ah gong to the clinic this morning after coming back from duty.. he has been complaining to us that he's medicine is finishing soon.. way before his next check up.. but i clarified with the doc that he did purchase enough to last till his next appointment.. really suspect he has been having wrong dosage of yao.. orrrr.. just mayb.. he sold them to earn extra income.. lol..

all these while he has been going to the doc alone.. and refusing to let my parents or relatives see the bills and documents.. so we have no idea what's wrong with his health.. but just like grandsons turning to their grandparents when in not-so-good terms with their parents.. my ah gong really do listens to what ever i say.. now only me and my uncle can manage him.. well.. if that's the case.. i've decided to bring him to the doc next time he have any appointment..

yeah..

gonna take a nap now..

Firstly, I want to wish all a BLESSED CHINESE NEW YEAR & HAPPY
VALENTINE DAY!!

Yet another year has passed. Time flies. This year will have many HUGE
crossroads waiting for me.. Oh well shall not touch on this for now..

THIS YEAR, I've realized 2 interesting things...

1) with children around during festive season, the atmosphere is better; more lively. Of cos, the oppo is true. As years passed, children grown old, older ones get married, old ones passed on. During reunion dinners and gathering, less and less people turn up. Having said that, during such seasons, we must remember it's not only a time if gathering, esp with the older generation, but we must also remember to cherish them.

2) was trying out my new shirt that I'm gonna wear for bai nian later. Recieved it as a bd present last year. Oh well, didn't have the time and energry to do ny shopping this year. Ok back to the shirt. Gosh!! It has SO MANY buttons la. Well it has 6, from top to bottom. Ok, I believe it's normal for any shirts to have 6 button, but when I first tried it in, I found it so strange! Apparently it had twice the number of buttons as compared with my No.4! Haha!

OH WELL.... enjoy your CNY guys! Be a blessing to those u meet yea?! For God say "love your neighbours!"

well.. suddenly got the urge to start blogging.. changed my layout.. managed to find one simply nice skin.. i'm gonna make an effort to update it regularly... well it's a mean to update others on my life and my thoughts.. yeap..

i've been thinking about the next generation lately.. students.. secondary.. primary.. "More Minors Having Sex" report and more reports...

seriously, i find it quite scary.. one wrong step, one wrong decision, and the child might be gone forever.. drinking.. clubbing.. smoking.. sex.. esp to the young ones.. those in the i-want-to-try-it-all era.. it is so damn easy to be influenced by others..

was looking at some vids taken by my ex students.. at some bd party.. gosh.. they weren't like that 2 yrs back i believe..

i pray that they will mature up quickly and know what's right for them..

ALRITE... it is here... my 'big' day... i suppose... haha... i'll be celebrating my 21st bd on the 15th aug 09... well... i wanted to book some huge chalets in changi or pasir ris de.. but due to the h1n1 quaratine stuffs.. most of em are closed... crap... in the end i settled with Hazel Park Condo (Bukit Panjang).. for the benefit of my family and frens staying in the west.. haha.. and the theme..? that will be IWAN..! lol.. dress up to ur own imigination..! haha.. idea by my ccell leader..

oh well i've sent out invitations le.. some have replied... some have not.. hope they will do so soon..! so many things to be done.. thank God for my family members, @ home and @ church, haha..! pray that it'll be a great evening..!

well.. been posted to Keat Hong Camp... MT Line... it's a armor camp.. it's so so different from bmt or sembawang camp... it's low key period now.. so quite slack.. but i got lots of catch up to do.. hmmm.. as a transport leader there.. it's not easy.. got 3 different character 'boss' there.. not easy.. different types of operators (drivers)... not easy...

today woke up to a bad dream... dreamt that i was sentenced to Detention Berrack (DB) coz i did a lil' mistake AND because i am PES C.. lol.. quite a dumb dream.. but............. oh well.. nvm...

continue to pray that i'll be able to cope..!

having walked the earth for 20yrs, i came to realized that I'm really easily affected by people around me.

when my student told me how good a teacher/fren i am, 'wow, i wanna continue teaching, thank God for giving me a chance to make a impact.' when my student asked me something that i cant answer, 'God, i'm wasting their time' when my student understands the topic well, 'thank God for using me.' when my student is bad at the topic, 'God, can i really teach?'

y i wanna teach? passion?
can i really teach and impact? perhaps?
is that what God wants me to do? unknown?
is that my direction in life? unknown?
shld i change my course in uni to nie? unknown?

yea yea.. i know.. i'm just lazy.. technology sometimes make us just plain lazy..!

alright.. 1 week ago.. ended out transport supervisor course.. it was a fun course i would say.. learning new things.. getting to know one another better.. and having lots of free time in camp.. lol.. went for exercises.. road march.. healthy runs... blah blah blah.. check out the clip...

and for the past week.. we were suppose to be having our 5ton course.. but due to some problem.. it was postpone till june.. our unit will post us back here for the course.. quite dumb la.. anyway.. this past week.. we simply rot lor.. wasting our leave just because they dont have things for us to do.. good and not good ba.. dumb dumb dumb.. oh well.. it's over..

we'll be starting on our MSET course from tmr onwards.. it's some basic mechanics course.. stay out course.. yeap..

and.. just change the verse under 'Verse of the week" to Hebrews 13:2 "Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!" as we start on this 100K Blessing event. quite excited abt it, abt what God gonna use us, use me. =) stay tune...

haha on thur, went back to kaki bukit camp to report... and only report lor.. did nothing the whole day.. coz pass le ma.. slack lor... watch heroes.. did my maths tys... hmmm in the evening went back sembawang with the rest for course debrief... to my surprise, recieved the best trainee award.. got a saf watch... mai hiam buay pai la.. lol..

on fri, we were given off.. luck our ic didnt come.. so 2ic gave us off.. our ic is cmi de lor.. i call him the slowpoke... do things slowly.. act busy... haha... oh well.. no need see him le.. oh ya.. that evening went demsey with some crazy bunch of peeps... will 2am lo.. super tired...

next dae, sat, woke up @ 5 and go kaki bukit camp to collect cert and license.. and den went mr koh place for steamboat gathering...

hmmm just now went dinner with some sec sch juniors... dragon fly gg shanghai for attachment... she's the one next to me.. yeap...

a long week for me. Started learning how to drive 3tonner, a type of military truck. Not very easy, yet not very tough. But sometimes quite hard to get use to different vehicles.

Booked out ytd afternoon. Wanted to give justin tuition, but in e end he couldn't make it. So i ended up staying at touch cyber wellness center playing cs with ant's group of youths. Interesting. Haha. Den had cell after tat.!

Today stayed at home for lo hey. Was a simple one. I was hoping got salmon, but nope. Oh well. And i wanted to go jogging just now, but it rained, so yea.

The DIFFERENCE

Science and God

'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his
new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

'Is God good?'

'Sure! God's good.'

'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

'Yes.'

'Are you good or evil?'

'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.

'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'

'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even
though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can
you answer that one?'

The student remains silent.

'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.

'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'

'Er...yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?'

The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student : 'From...God...'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'

'Yes, sir.'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
correct?'

'Yes.'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'

The student: 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.

'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him'

'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'

'No, sir, I have not.'

'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'

'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'

'Yet you still believe in him?'

'Yes.'

'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,
son?'

'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'

'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'

'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'

'And is there such a thing as cold?'

'Yes, son, there's cold too.'

'No sir, there isn't.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.

'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when
it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have
or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.

'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'

'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'

'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able
to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'

'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'

'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.

'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'

The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.

'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no
brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain,
how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the
student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.
These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at
least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when
man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there
is no light.'

The professor sat down.

just got to know ytd evening tat my dad was admitted hospital on monday morning due to artery blockage. Monday night i even called my mum, my daily routine, to say hi all those la. She didnt tell me abt my dad situation la, not wanting to make me worry. How silly of them. Anyway booked out ytd evening to visit him. He had an operation ytd afternoon. Thank God he's feeling better le. Pls keep him in prayer. :) ,

first thing first.. i've changed my 'quote of the week' =)

just finished 1 week of my driving course... drove land rover.. quite similar to normal car.. but some switch differences too.. learned some of the car engine parts too.. =) thankfully i know how to drive le.. so less nervous.. but den.. on fri.. had circuit lesson @ crank course and s course and slope... i totally suck @ crank course la... keep hitting onto the curb.. coz i followed my instructor method.. but den @ the last attempt.. he asked me to follow my feeling... it worked! haha!!!! took thoery test on sat.. passed...! 50 out of 50..! thank God.. well before that.. we practiced a book of 350 questions for like 3 times la! lol..

at the start of the week.. was blessing some of my church frens with this verse so they started their school... and guess wad...? i was blessed by this verse on fri after seeking God when i was down due to the circuit incident! =D GOd's faithful!

i found that the book of James is a really nice book to read. it really speaks to you like a high D person la.. straight forward..! go check it out..!

haha now at causeway point using wifi on my mobile. :) haha hmmm having nights out. Every wed we get to book out on wed evening for few hours. By 2130 need to book in le. Hmmm oh well better den nothing. So i'm free to date on wed evening haha! Started Driving today. Land rover quite hard to drive. Clutch very hard. Yea. Had some hard cornering and didnt slow down at zebra crossing. Haha. We shall see. Yea take care guys!

well.. tomorrow will be the official start of my class 4 driving lessons.. from tmr onwards.. have to stay in camp from sunday nite till sat afternoon.. and every morning there will be transport to fetch us to kaki bukit camp (KBC) for driving lessons.. and will only be back in our bunk @ sembawang camp in the evening.. and the BEST part is that every sat i'll only be able to book out from KBC in the afternoon... ahhh.. that's like in eunos la..! oh well.. we shall see how it goes...!

yea... i know it's bit late.. but still.. i got wish all of ya hor... todae.. spent 1 whole day.. packing my room la... needa shift the computer from my parents' room to mine... so decided to packing my room too... clean up everything.. so coming CNY no need clean le.. wahah..

now my monitor is like to far and high up la.. at the end of my table.. haha.. lucky big screen.. looks cool thou...

went for this year FCBC count down party @ tc.. i tot it will be roring... but God proved me wrong.! nice programs esp the Identity game.. haha.. after the party.. went to join my cell for cell retreat... got to know some of the gals.. thank God.. actual fact i'm a introvert person... haha.. not many ppl know ba..!

tmr church service is @ 10am.. will be combining with the adult one... good also.. the other half of the day can spend with family.. =D

Funeral was ok. Thank God mum was taking it alright. But there was some minor conflict over religion. Long story. Still praying that the family will stay united and strong.

KL trip was fun. Shop eat shop eat shop.

we spent the nite before our flight @ changi airport. lol. slept there for 30mins plus. haha. @ 3am or so.

@ KLCC there.. Q-ing up for twin tower ticket.. free but only got 1000 per day. we started Q-ing @ 9am but got the 1pm time slot.

Early this morning 1am, hospital called to inform that my grandma (maternal) has pass away. She has been in hospital since 2 weeks ago. Heart, lung, kidney all very weak. Thank God that she manage to see all her family members before leaving. Her youngest daughter, smallest aunty, flew back from Shanghai just 2 days ago.

I'm fine, but not sure about the rest. Please pray that all, esp my mum, can accept the situation well and stay strong and bonded.

I've pop-ed on the 10dec. And sadly to say, I wasn't involved in the graduation parade. it's like every guys' dream la. all due to my knee, my csm didn't wanna clear me. anyways, here's the pic. really had fun these 3 months.

went for my specialist review on monday. found out i've got Osgood-Schlatter Disease. he told that he'll suggest to my MO, via a memo, to down pes me. went back to tekong medical center to look for the medical officer (MO) the next day. he asked if i wanna OOT (out of training) at this period of time, 2 weeks before my POP. answer is obvious. thus he told me to show my new unit's MO and down pes there, so i wont kanna OOT. fine. so he gave me execuse status for RMJ (running marching jumpping) for 2 weeks, till 8dec, 2 days before my POP.

now. here comes the uncertaintity. 10dec is my coy's 24km road march. previously i've missed 2. and if i were to go for this, i'll have to come back during block leave to march too. and i seriously think my knee won't be able to take it. so do i down pes right away? and if doin so, will my coy OOT me? or will they be kind enough to keep me, while execusing me from all the activities, and yet let me pass out from BMT? if so, in order for me to down pes, my case has to be brought up to the medical board, which only happens every once a month. so what pes will i have after 10dec? when is the date where my case will be brought up? where will i be posted to?

and these few days, my coy is practically free everyday, coz we've very few training since it's the end of the course. they had their 16km road march on thur, and damn, i felt damn sucky la. how i wish i could join them. spirits are high. all of them. God.

i just pray that things will turn out fine.

Just ended my company's SIT test. I was physically there. But did not take part in it. Due to varies reasons. So will be going for the re-SIT test next week, 2 days after my specialist review for my knee.

Field Camp: OVER

finally.. i've finished my field camp.. was from last last fri to last wed... 6D5N.... quite tiring.. coz need to adapt to the 'cool living environment'..! ha.. most of us to bruises and scratches all over our body... first 2days we were training on urban ops... first 2N we slept in a tiny tent.. and it rained on the 2nd day.. so all wet.. how shiok.. next 3 days.. we changed our camp site.. trained on conventional ops... 3rd and 4th nite.. we slept in our shellscrapes.... aka.. mud hole... how fun..! quite comfortable actually...

on the 5th day.. it rained... and all our holes were like fish tanks..! thankfully our oc and csm were pleased with our performance.. thus allowed us to spend our last nite at the parade square near our company line.. first ever in Quebec history..! haha.. thank God..!

and for the next 2 days.. we spent most of the time cleaning our stores and rifles... and right after the field camp.. we went for soc.. madness man.....! all super shag already la... i couldn't clear swing trainer and low rope.. haha.. and for the last station: low ramp.. i injured my knee.. can't walk properly @ all.. that was last thursday...

i decided to visit the MO on friday morning... bookout day... well.. seldom people will see MO on bookout day de.. coz if the MO send u to sickbay.. den GG le.. cannot bookout.. but den.. my leg was super pain so no choice.. @ the medical center.. MO checked on my knee and refered me to Changi General Hospital... 1 of my company PS brought my field pack to me @ the medical center and sent me to CGH.. i tot i will OOT sia.. but thankfully doc say no broken bones... woot!

later need book in @ 1640 sia.. super early.. den next week cannot bookout again.. confinement due to Situational Test or SIT test in short..

well........ at least i thank God that field camp is over!

Hate the feeling

I just hate the feeling of saying good-byes to my family...

each week.. i have to do it when i leave the house to book in... the feeling.. it sux...

ytd.. i had to do it again when sending my family off to my aunt house... the feeling.. it sux...

booked out ytd evening... this whole week physically quite relax.. mentally shag.. had live range.. on the day itself.. wed.. we had to wake up 30mins earlier @ 5am... and we only manage to come back to our bunk @ 2am.. super shag... managed to get marksmanship for my range.. thank God!

booking on monday.. thank God for the holiday..! =D

End of PTP period, start of BMT

oh well... my 4 weeks PTP ended already... quite fast eh.? =) actually go in.. have fun together with my platoon mates... suffer also suffer together.. so time passes quite fast actually... PTP period focuses more on improving our physical level... so that we will be fitter... and by right i shld be slimmer.. hmmm.. BY RIGHT la... but it doesn't looks like it leh... lol... perhaps my fats changed directly to muscles.. haha.... hmmm...

and.. later gonna book in @ 1840 le... but gg church first... and tmr will be the start of BMT.. 9 weeks... hopefully... i can stand it.. haha.. physically... mentally.. emotionally... will be handling weapons and other fighting stuffs le... hmmm..

oh well... ytd went to get myself a new casio watch.... from bugis.. cost $20... haha... coz my $5 watch the top casing dropped off le.. lol...

and at nite went to SMU Settlers Cafe with my poly friends... nice time of get together.. =)

and.. went i came home.. my dad told me that his company will be relocating to thailand... and all of them will be out of job.. that's the bad news... good news is.. they will be compensated a small amt of $$... he has been with that company for the past 28years... i'm praying that he'll be able to find a easy job that allows him to have some income and let him relax and pass time... God... i pray..

back then.. in sec school.. I wasn’t ready for it at all… even now.. @ 20years old.. I dare to say that I’m still not ready/mature for BGR… yea yea

it's... very sweet... going out with the person u like from the class next door... frequent sms-es... knowing someone is there to wait for you when u stay back lat in school for cca.. knowing that someone will always reply ur sms when u're in need.. or sad or boring... knowing that even those friends around you decided to leave u.. u still have that person by ur side... it's sweet.. and of coz.. it's a good feeling

but.. on the other hand... to girls.. emotionls come first.. to boys.. physical come first... wadever it is... 1 thing will lead to another.. and nothing good will happen... once u get physical with each other............... u know wad will happen... the worst part is... it's the emotional betrayal when u 2 decided to break up…

and for the BEST way (i believe) of how/when to start a BGR... is when u're mature enough... think the BIG PICTURE.... make ur first ur last ur best.... or else.. ur next ur last ur best...

Oversea adventure trip

ooooo... went for a Adventure Trip to Pangkor Island on monday.. can back ytd.. nice chill out island.. goodness... how i wish i had more time there..! oh.. i went there with my school NP-MDE.. weiyan and i joined them as graduates... haha.. and.. the pics...

we went for a hot spring in ipoh first.. haha nice.... cheap too..! lol...

this spa... we wanted to go there de instead of joining the rest.. and check this out.. it says 'open'... but with locks on... dots.!

for the first nite.. we stopped over @ YMCA.. the gals got their own rooms...3/4 to one.. the boys have to say in 'bunk' style.. 20+ per room... goodness.. that evening.. i just had this strange pre-NS feeling... thus i decided to share a room with one of my lecturer.. =)

Awesome 2 days! - Part 2

29th Aug, Fri - Last day in YISS, Teacher's Day

Ok.. yesterday... yet another lil' chapter of my life came to an end...

i'm really gonna miss all of them...

Whole day, no lesson. Kids went back home room collect report books. I went to prepare for the following events: CCA ROD, CCA Awards, SL Investiture, Teachers' Day Celebration. Crazy one, it's a super high 4-in-1 day! So many activities going on! ha!

During the 4 activities, i was at the PA control room, overlooking the hall. Was helping them somehow. Took charge of the slides too. They really needa improve themselves. Still a long way to go. Things got busy.. sec1 SL came up to the L2 gallery to get ready they part - giving out of teachers' day gifts. Thank God for the sec2 and 3 to help me organize them. =)

surprisingly, many ex-yusoffians came back.. saw some of my juniors.. they were shocked to find out that i'm relief teaching there..! haha.. and while some of my students and SL gave my teachers' day presents (show off abit. lol), 1 ex-yusoffians, my junior, gave me too. Min hui! haha. she claims that she gotta give me coz i got teach her math before and it changed her course of study somehow now. =) thank God!

and since i was up at the PA control room for the whole morning, i didnt take any pic till the end of the event. we, SL, gathered at the YO hub for a time of Pizza, kindly ordered and paid (i guess) by Ms Kelly. Here are the pics. I really gonna miss them!

28th Aug, Thur - 2nd last day in YISS

First 2 periods, lol, very relax.

1st - Math with Class E. Taught for 40mins? Rest of the time, took pics! got some from India, China, Pakistan, Myamar, Korea.

2nd - Sci with Class A. Watched Captain Planet to teach them Water/Air Pollution. =)

Pass few days, took some snap shots of them too.

That day, all teachers were invited for a lunch @ HomeTeamNS in the afternoon. Thus the school was closed from 1.30pm onwards, and all students were suppose to leave the compound by 1.15pm.

We had some last minute things to brief our SL regarding the Teachers' Day Event the next day. Thus we met them @ 1pm. Goodness, some of them strolled in. Speechless. Done with the briefing, by then around 1.35 le. All of us fly out of school.

My driving test @ 3.45pm. I had my last driving lesson @ 2pm. Took a cab back home and did a change of clothings. And went to meet my instructor, reached there at 2.05pm. Went for circuit training for 1hr, and then road practice for another 30min. Driving Test started at 3.45pm. Nervous. Very. Prayed. Hard. Leave it all to Him. First stop, the circuit test. I missed the teachers' day lunch. But it's ok. =) Fly back to school after that with some other teachers. Coz we asked some of the SL to come back in the evening to do some last min preparations. Had fun, them. They were shouting and playing while preparing the cactus for the teachers. Noisy. But that's the way i believe it should be. Everyone come together, have fun while rushing out for results. Good. I'm glad. =) That morning, Mrs Wan, VP, bought me a thank-you cake. =) And that evening, i shared with all those students and teachers left in school.

in the evening, went to daniel's 21st bd.... mini gathering with my poly friends..

this morning.. went dim sum with my family... and grandparents.. =) smiles..!

after that wet spore flyer with my parents.... hmmm usual tix cost $29.50 per pax... but den... we got complementary tix.. ha... and my bro and his gf got another type of complementary tix with wine de... so so the spore flyer ppl arrange us 5 in 1 capsule... wooo... heard it cost $1500 to book 1 capsule.. lol.. and it cost us $0! =D thank God.. lol...

coz today my time table is quite special..!!! for today lar ... my phys class clash with my math class - Class E... overlap by30mins... oh btw.. is phys den math class...

den phys lesson is lab ma.. so was engross in teaching them the circut and all lor... and den i'm suppose to leave half way for my math lesson de ma..

den den... too engross lor.. den when i went up there at the end of the lab.. which was 30min after start of math lesson.. den they join back with their other half of their class le.. den... like that lo.. lucky the other teacher ask them to... and lucky our 2 classes side by side...

In the afternoon, corrine came to my school, and my parents picked us up. We went to get some stuffs for our PRIMARY SCHOOL gathering! =) cool..! it has been some time since we last met! Nice time of gathering @ my place for a BBQ! My P6 form teacher even bought a BD cake for me! Special day! We know each other for 10 years already! and counting!

Service. Good time worshiping God. I missed the previous 2 services! ha! hmmm.. and... the surprise..!

the usual stuff: cell grp will buy a cake and celebrate bd after service. ya, same goes to me.

the unusual stuff: my bro melvin collected bd wishes from those around me! ALL THOSE AROUND ME... from sec school friends... sec school juniors... sec school teachers... poly friends.. poly teachers... NDP people... cell group... other cell group... and MY STUDENTS!!!! goodnes...!! all the effort put into making a BOOK! thank God for him!

ahhh.. so sweet of him..!!

after that... we went dinner at Rocky Pizza @ Sunset way... oh yes... Felicia Yap.... she gave me a present... she took 7hrs to finish it.. LOL.. i appreciate it.. i appreciate her..! =)

it really bring back fond memories when i was still in the school, as a prefect. we work like crap, like no hw to do, like to home to go back to, like no end... butts off... but we had real lots of fun..! that's the SPIRIT!! shameless spirit!! haha!!! I just pray that the relationship amongst all SL will progress to a new level..! =)

i went into the class beofre the lesson starts... praying..

students came.. i instructed them to sit outside the class first.. and keep quiet.. i know it's lame and a waste of time... but i want to create the atmosphere...

and i let them in...

and i waited till they're quiet....

still chatting softly away.. 1 or 2 of them...

"Then I'll leave. Come to stuff room if you're interested to learn."

and i went back to the staff room.

*notice i didnt use any !. i was calm thruoughout.

15min later, few came to look for me.

"i'll be there in 2min. if i still hear any noise, i'll leave again."

i admit it's not the best way of teaching them, but, i gotta give it a try too.

alrite.. after 2 weeks of not updating.. many things happened.. haha.. Class A and B are still ok... they did their test.. less den 10 failures in 2 classes.. still not too bad i guess.. i can see that they are all putting in effort..

but today... another story... i got 3 lessons today.. 2 in the morning.. both Class A and B... went thru test paper.. super noisy.. not interested... perhaps i shouldn't go thru all the qns.. i literally chased out my class B, first class in the morning. thank God some stayed, telling me they're interested to learn..

well i pray.. all of them will be like that by the time i leave.. perhaps, for all lessons, i should tell them to only come get me in the staff room ONLY they've settled down... hmmm..

den my last lesson today.. new class.. 1/2 the class in fact.. let's call them class E... math.. sec2... nice class.. knew some of them.. but today.. by then.. already no strength and voice to teach le.. so i thought i did quite badly in class.. 3 lessons in a row.. phew...

wooo... this is my 200th post.. haha..

goodness.. now in school.. waiting for lesson.. just had a change of time table this week... previosly i dont have lessons on friday de.. but den.. not have.. it will be good if dun have.. can sleep longer.. can exercise too...

goodness.. so tired.. mark my student's worksheet mark till vvv tired... wanna sleep le.. their understanding power is really weak... but it's really ok... we have to know that they are like that and it's perfectly normal.. accept they are like that and work on from there... yup... oh ya.. some of them are REALLY good in art.. haha.. nevertheless.. a huge challenge for me...

goodness.. ytd had another lesson with Class B.. vvvv rowdy too... in class got 3 teacher somemore lo... haiz.. went back to staffroom.. 1 of the teacher shared that we needa win their trust first.. build repor with them first... true true.. and i pray that God will give me opportunities to do that..!

Start of School

well.. today is my 2nd week teaching in school.. by the end of last week (week 1), i was feeling quite good as 1 of the sec 1 class, let's call it "Class A" responded quite well to my teaching method.

i was teaching them on Properties of Matter (it's a science topic). went into the class, put on a 'chao bin', briefly told them about my expectation on them. and i decided to play a 3 month long game with them. i got them into groups. and the 1 with the highest point at the end of the period will receive something special from me. those who participate in class will gain points for their group, while those not obeying to instruction will help their group lose points.

and i also introduced them to a new classmate of theirs: Mr Bobby. whoever have him on their hand then can speak in class.

with him, i started my lesson. whole class was quite ok. responded well too. nice start. thats was "Class A"

As for this week, today, i'm feeling kinda discourage after my lesson with 1 of the sec 1 class, let's call it "Class B". i started my first lesson with the same pattern/style as with "Class A". however, most of them were very rowdy. catching their attention was a tough job. super sian. i wanted to wanna raise my voice at them, or even 'punish' them, but i had some senior teachers in the class too, thus i didnt.

really pray that everything will turn out fine. also pray that God will give me wisdom on how to conduct my lesson, and also impact lives.

on my first day of school, last monday, after school, went to meet up 2 of my primary school mates corrine and valerie. nice time of catching up. one have already became a full time nurse, while the other one at a private uni. nice.

last fridae went to the floating platform NDP thingy... met up with the army i/c to get brief on some of procedures for next sat - NE show 1.... woo.. nice place.. we'll be doing vip ushering.. haha.. who know can take picture with 'dua liab' people like mr lky, gct or sr nathan? haha..

den on sat went back to school for a final briefing with the rest of the volunteers... had a nice time together.. took some pictures.. yeah..

yea den the next dae.. went to woodlands ring sec sch for a fund raising even with Heartware Network, the org that I'm with for NDP Bay Ambassador 08. My team was suppose to go out to woo more customer to come in for the charity car wash. phew. hard work. we managed to clear 61 (or 81?) cars by the end of the day. not bad i guess. aha..

den that evening, after the car wash, together with my parents, we went to orchid country club for my distant cousin's wedding dinner. she's only 21 and her hubby is only 25. so young lar. i shall keep my comments:) hope they can endure thru the test of time..

The assessments classify four aspects of behavior by testing a person's preferences in word associations (compare with Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). DISC is an acronym for:

Dominance - relating to control, power and assertiveness
Influence - relating to social situations and communication
Steadiness (submission in Marston's time)- relating to patience, persistence, and thoughtfulness
Conscientiousness (or caution, compliance in Marston's time) - relating to structure and organization

These four dimensions can be grouped in a grid with D and I sharing the top row and representing extroverted aspects of the personality, and C and S below representing introverted aspects. D and S then share the left column and represent task-focused aspects, and I and C share the right column and represent social aspects. In this matrix, the vertical dimension represents a factor of "Assertive" or "Passive", while the horizontal represents "Open" vs. "Guarded". ^[3]

alrite... todae i took whole dae off... morning went to NTU for the scholarship interview... ahh... was so nervous lor..!!! wad more the place is so big lar... lucky i reached there on time.. and thank God everything went smothly..! haha..!

after that went to canteen 2 for branch... their beef noodle soup is so.. eeee la... but their waffles.. not bad... even thou it's 're-heated' one.. haha..!

after that.. wanted to catch a movie @ jp alone before going home de.. but last min by dad called and sae he decided to take hald day off after his morning check up at the clinic.. so i jio-ed him to jp for movie lo.. we watched the Forbidden Kingdom..... for the price of $10 only..!!! haha... $6 for me... student price... $4 for my dad... senior citizen!! power... haha.. shiok...

after that went bought some food @ the supermarket, came back and cooked western for dinner.. haha.. asked my mum to prepare salad... in the end... the dressing also nv put... and i ate up most of the fruits..

wooo... this whole week has been very WOW for me... @ work... although it seems like i'm having lesser accounts to handle.. coz i'm handing over the main one to another guy... but everydae it's like a lot of things to settle lar... kao... so excited.. so ahhh..!!

apart from work... everydae also got letters... most of the days.. come home and my mum will go... 'another letter for you.....................' den also got some mails from the uni.... i'll be like so.. argh... dunno is good or wad..! that ntu interview mail made me really nervous lar.. so kan chiong..! haha..!

hmmm been thinking abt this for very long already...

you know.. sometimes you prayed to God and he answers... like wad the bible said in Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

but sometimes, he just doesn't seems to care wad u asked for... so u'll be like... what the hack...? then u'll complain to/abt him... ask me to ask.. and sae ask le will give.. but ask le.. also nv give... dots..

but... i finally got the whole 'solution' to it.. we have the see the 'model' picture to the whole situation...

basically, theoretically, superbly, finally, ultimately, when u're at any junction in your life.. asking God what's the next step to take.. tell him what you want.. praying for the things u're aiming for... God will generally lead you to three groups of options... well i like to use the word "door".. because that decision will lead you to different paths in life...

went for service today after my breakfast with my parents - mum treated us to mac..! haha..

i was feeling kinda argh... but but.. gosh... during worship... God prompted me 2 things... that totally turn the table...

1. Although we may have lose many battles, but with God, we will win the war! Victory! Why worry?

2. We are all work in progress (WIP), like construction site, smelly, dirty, dusty, yucks! So why worry if things doesn't go well now? Have the right attitude in Jesus!

this week... power...

on wed..
took half day off.. morning went to work as usual.. rushed to finish all my stuffs... left the rest to the guy that's gonna take over me.. i was scheduled for a interview @ MOE building at 1150.. regarding my application for Bachelor of sci in education.. wanted to leave my work place @ 1030 to take train.. but was held up with some stuffs.. in the end left at 1115 by cab.. thank goodness reached there on time..!

interview was ok.. panel of 3.. from moe, sch board and nie... asked about my past in sec and poly.. and also wad made me wanna be a teacher... and what other degree courses that i applied.. everything was ok.. 'answerable'... until they asked if i were both given a choice to choose between ISE/Maritime and NIE, which one will i choose...

'I'll pray' i told them... and the main interviewer answered ' ya it helps sometime but u gotta be sure wad it means to be a teacher and whether u're up to it'.

oh well...

after that interview... went back for a nap... den my office and hq side kept calling me... it was about the import for a few cars... i told my hq, who will usually come and collect the cars once unstuffed, that the remaining cars will be unstuffed by 2pm that day... that timing was given by my controller after he checked with our hauler lor... den in the end, hq sent their driver in jun jun @ 2pm... and the import container was delayed.. den kept calling me...

kept ignoring them... till i cannot take it.. called my office and clarify things with them... and i still kept ignoring the called from my hq side.. i know that if i were to answer.. sure quarrel with them.. ha.. my afternoon nap was disturbed lar... and... to me.. that's something i dun like.. i'll be in a v nasty mood if that happens.. =)

arite... in the evening.. went back to np with sally and seehong... went for our mde foc camp.. wanted to go check it out and help out with their nite walk.. not bad overall.. was v tired lar.. slept in the middle of the nite walk and gave up scaring the kids.. ha... in the end.. went back to the sports hall @ 5am when everything ended...

woke up @ 6.30 and left for work @ 7.15... was super tired lar..! that whole dae.. my body was like.. shutting down... ha..

after work.. went to expo for the planet shakers with my church mates.. namely melvin, ben, felicia, valerie, isabelle.. was very good.. had a nice time worshiping God..

oh.. earlier that evening.. my dad called... saying i there's 3 letters waiting for me to open @ home... ah... 2 from np.. 1 from ntu... woot... i could roughly guess what's that le.. haha.. been waiting for various letter these few days... nus.. np... nie.. ntu.... ns.. hmmm strangely.. all start with n... ha..

gosh.. todae.... emotional roller coaster ride....

got 4 container packing for my customer today.. 2X20GP and 2X40HC...

by right they have to give us all the documents for collection of cargoes from the other wh and also complete confirm packing list 1 day in advance...

today packing... morning still haven give us all the docs yet... packing list still not confirm yet...

10am: good.. wait lo... wad to do....

11am: ass crap.. still dun give... called their manager... but quite useless too... if still dun give.. was thinking of discussing it with my GM....

12nn: lunch time.... too full to eat... full of qi..! skipped lunch..

1pm: my transporter kept chasing for the doc to clear the cargoes... customer side still haven give...! goodness..!!

2pm: good give us all doc already... but packing list haven confirm... cannot plan container stuffing plan at all...

3pm: last min changes here and there.. customer's coordinator keep changing decision... crap.. i bo chap liao... wanna do wad.. do lo... asked him to settle himself.... btw.. that guy is my customer.. working in my office... coordinating with us and his hq side...

3.30pm: shit... really bo chap already.... go canteen eat.. relax.... ass....

4pm: came back office.. wanted to just leave it to my another new coordinator to handle... but still... things not done... damn it.... still have to get things done....

4.30pm: finally confirm packing list... get the documents ready.. split cargoes into different containers...

5pm: started tracing of cargoes...

5.30pm: found out some mistakes in my planning... changed them...

6.30pm: ok... so far so good... cargoes all lay out.. ready for tally clerk to check...

7.30pm: crap... weight problem... realised that one container (40HC) is too heavy.. while the other one (20GP) is too light.. but the 20GP packed half way already... how to change cargoe plan now?!

8pm: thank goodness... with help of one of the forklift driver.. managed to settle the issue..

9pm: left office after 20GP stuffed... leaving the remaining 40HC, half stuffed, to my another coordinator..

Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.

The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the universityfor study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'msure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because Icouldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurtso much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about that ?

left office after lunch... went to nus for interview for this degree course.... Industrial System Engineering (ISE).. went for a haircut before that.. cut @ TeamSalon @ vivo... wow... cost me $32 lar... for those ppl who will see me in the next few days.. better sae it's nice ya!!! otherwise...............

the interview session only lasted for 10-15mins lor.. talk abt my poly commitment and academic stuffs.. and they told me that if i were to enter.. i will need to attend some bridging modules in engineering.... now in case u're like my sotong friend sally toh... these 'bridging' modules is not on BRIDGE!! haha.. they are extra modules that focus on engineering topics... yup...

after tat went to alpha spore office @ novena to collect the Planetshakers worship concert tickets.. woot... these priority entry tickets can only be use before 7.15pm.. that means even thou concert start @ 7.30.. needa reach before 7.15.. ok let's meet up @ 6.30/45....

That was my last day of internship in Sembawang Kimtrans (now known as toll logistics asia). truly, i enjoyed my stay over there. people are good. boss good too. friendly, most of them. of coz got some attitude lao jiao lar. ha.

my manager. took a pic with him. coz he was gonna leave 1week after me. resigned. got better opportunity ba. yup. still remember my first few weeks with the company, he will bring my around to PSA port.. meet customers.. drink coffee.. haha.. gonna stay in touch with him!
