Monday, June 30, 2008 ( Start of School @ 5:13 PM )  well.. today is my 2nd week teaching in school.. by the end of last week (week 1), i was feeling quite good as 1 of the sec 1 class, let's call it "Class A" responded quite well to my teaching method. i was teaching them on Properties of Matter (it's a science topic). went into the class, put on a 'chao bin', briefly told them about my expectation on them. and i decided to play a 3 month long game with them. i got them into groups. and the 1 with the highest point at the end of the period will receive something special from me. those who participate in class will gain points for their group, while those not obeying to instruction will help their group lose points. and i also introduced them to a new classmate of theirs: Mr Bobby. whoever have him on their hand then can speak in class.  with him, i started my lesson. whole class was quite ok. responded well too. nice start. thats was "Class A" As for this week, today, i'm feeling kinda discourage after my lesson with 1 of the sec 1 class, let's call it "Class B". i started my first lesson with the same pattern/style as with "Class A". however, most of them were very rowdy. catching their attention was a tough job. super sian. i wanted to wanna raise my voice at them, or even 'punish' them, but i had some senior teachers in the class too, thus i didnt. really pray that everything will turn out fine. also pray that God will give me wisdom on how to conduct my lesson, and also impact lives.  oooo that's me with my teaching partner.. on my first day of school, last monday, after school, went to meet up 2 of my primary school mates corrine and valerie. nice time of catching up. one have already became a full time nurse, while the other one at a private uni. nice.  last fridae went to the floating platform NDP thingy... met up with the army i/c to get brief on some of procedures for next sat - NE show 1.... woo.. nice place.. we'll be doing vip ushering.. haha.. who know can take picture with 'dua liab' people like mr lky, gct or sr nathan? haha..      den on sat went back to school for a final briefing with the rest of the volunteers... had a nice time together.. took some pictures.. yeah..  the reds.. all of em...  red grp4.. my grp.. "D and.......... ytd... went for a FAMILY SHOOT.. haha very fun...! its the experience.. den we signed a package.. life package.. haha.. here are the RAW shots... oh ya.. that gal.. is my bro gf.. getting married next year.. that's y we included her.. haha..!! oh.. we went to Naughty by Nature for the photo shoot...                   den in the evening, brought my mum for her belated dinner... at vivo.. steak... ex wor..! total 174... i pay.. dots.. coz bro paid fathers' day dinner.. so i'm really broke now..!   0 comments Sunday, June 22, 2008 ( apple story.. @ 10:32 PM ) "You can count the number of seeds in a apple. My team was suppose to go out to woo more customer to come in for the charity car wash. phew. hard work. we managed to clear 61 (or 81?) cars by the end of the day. not bad i guess. aha..         den that evening, after the car wash, together with my parents, we went to orchid country club for my distant cousin's wedding dinner. she's only 21 and her hubby is only 25. so young lar. i shall keep my comments:) hope they can endure thru the test of time..  left: my cousin, right: the bride (distant cousin - my mum's cousin's daughter)   her mum  my parents  my godbrother  so tao lar.. according to my mum, he haven 'warm' up yet.. he dun wanna let me carry lor.. haha.. okok... den on tue.. we went to the Southern Ridges.. a total of 9km of hills, parks and gardens.. we stared off at harbour front.. all the way till queensway there only.. around 5km like that ba... we went there to test out our new cameras.. haha.. oh ya.. see hong also bought a niew nikon camera.. $699.. 10MP and 18X Optical Zoom.. so big la.. like bomb like that.. haha..                    yea after that, went ikea for lunch, den went szemin condo for a swim. haha.         unglam!!  macho rite?! haha!    look so cute rite? like a little puppy! haha =P   another puppy! haha!  ahh this gal.. extra.. but cute..  yea.. den after that.. szemin invited us for home dinner.. nice meal.. there i also learned how to make double star out of a rubber band.. lol.. kids play.. ahh. yesterday.. went out with nicole and her 10years old cousin.. goodness..! how cute is she...!! her name is Regina Teo.. super cute lor.. and talkative.. ask lotsa questions.. nice..! =D  first went to boak jones for lunch.   cuteee...! she finished the whole plate of fish and chips by herself.. haha..      ahh den the big one wanted to trim her hair.. ya... and the small one guai guai sit there and read lao fu zi...  we went back to yiss.. went there to look for teacher.. den brought her to see my name.. lol       goodness.. she'll be one of the reason y i want to have a daughter first.. haha..! 0 comments |
